ORDINANCE NO. 19


"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE SALE OF FISH BEFORE THE SAME IS WEIGHED AND INSPECTED AND THE CORRESPONDING TAX THEREFOR IS PAID AND REQUIRING ALL FISH VENDORS AND FISHERMEN TO SUBMIT THEIR FISH FOR SALE TO THE FISH INSPECTOR AT SANTA LUCIA PUBLIC MARKET FOR WEIGHING AND INSPECTION PURPOSES, AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"


	BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:


      SECTION 1. No person shall sell any fish anywhere in Pagadian before the same has been weighed and inspected at Santa Lucia Public Market by the fish inspector and before the tax due on said fish has been paid.

	SECTION 2.	All fishermen and fish vendors are required to submit their fish for sale to the fish inspector at Santa Lucia Public Market for weighing and inspection purposes and for payment of its corresponding tax.

	SECTION 3. Any person, fish vendor or fisherman convicted by the Court for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Ten (P10.00) Pesos nor more than Thirty (P30.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment of not less than five (5) days nor more than fifteen (15) days, or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.


      SECTION 4.	 Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent to this Ordinance is hereby deemed amended or repealed.


      SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
