ORDINANCE NO. 18
"AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING MERCHANTS TO ISSUE AND CUSTOMERS TO DEMAND SALES INVOICES OR RECEIPTS FOR ALL PURCHASES OF GOODS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. All merchants doing business in the Municipality of Pagadian are required to issue sales invoices for all purchases made by their customers, in the manner that all customers are required to demand sales invoices for all purchases of goods made by them from local merchants.
SECTION 2. Any person convicted by the Court for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine from Ten (P10.00) Pesos to One Hundred (P100.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment from ten (10) to thirty (30) days or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 3. Any provision of any ordinance inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance is hereby amended or repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
