ORDINANCE NO. 16
"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE THROWING INTO THE STREET CANAL ANY GARBAGE, REFUSE OR WASTES AND REQUIRING RESIDENTS OF PAGADIAN TO HAVE PROPER DISPOSAL OF THEIR GARBAGE, REFUSE OR WASTE AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. It is strictly prohibited for any person to throw into any street canal garbage, refuse or waste of any kind.
SECTION 2. Residents near any public garbage container are required to dispose properly their garbage or refuse into a public garbage container.
SECTION 3. Residents who are living in the interior are required to dig a hole on the ground to serve as their garbage disposal pit and those who do not have space for digging a hole must dispose their garbage into the nearest public garbage container.
SECTION 4. Any person convicted by the Court for violation of this Ordinance shall suffer a fine of not more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos or an imprisonment of not more than thirty (30) days or both, such fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 5. Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent to any provision of this Ordinance is hereby amended or repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
