ORDINANCE NO. 39
"AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL FIREARM HOLDER TO SUBMIT THEIR FIREARMS TO THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF PAGADIAN FOR VERIFICATION BEFORE THE THIRTIETH DAY OF EVERY JANUARY AND JULY AND IMPOSING VERIFICATION FEES AND PENALTIES THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. Persons who are holders of firearms are strictly required to submit their firearms to the Chief of Police of Pagadian for verification purposes before the 30th day of every January and July.
SECTION 2. A verification fee of One (P1.00) Peso per firearm shall be paid at every verification to the Municipal Treasurer.
SECTION 3. Any firearm holder convicted by the Court for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment of not less than twenty (20) days nor more than forty-five (45) days or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 4. Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent to this Ordinance is hereby amended or repealed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
