ORDINANCE NO. 21
"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 17 SERIES OF 1962, RE: PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE PERIOD OF THE LEASE CONTRACT OF THE OCCUPANTS OF THE LOTS SURROUNDING THE OLD PUBLIC MARKET TO TERMINATE ON DECEMBER 31, 1970, AND FOR THE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS FOR THE REHABILITATION OF THE OLD PUBLIC MARKET BUILDING"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. The period of the lease contract of the occupants of the lots surrounding the old public market who shall give donations to the municipality for the rehabilitation of the old public market building according to the following schedule of amounts enumerated below as petitioned by them, shall be extended to December 31, 1970:
a. P200.00 for every apartment along the National Highway and Mabini Street.
b. P100.00 for every apartment along Bonifacio Street and Jamisola Street.
c. P50.00 for every apartment located inside the old public market premises.
SECTION 2. The payment of donations to the authorized person in a conditio sine qua non for the extension of the period of the lease contract up to and not beyong December 31, 1970.
SECTION 3. The privilege granted therein for the extension of the period of the lease contract to December 31, 1970 shall end on December 31, 1965.
SECTION 4. No lease contract of any market lot occupant shall be extended after December 31, 1965, which is the deadline for the full payment of donations.
SECTION 5. The Municipal Treasurer of Pagadian is authorized to accept donations for the rehabilitation of the old public market building and to issue official receipt thereof.
SECTION 6. The lease contract shall provide therein the prohibition of sub-leasing the occupant to other persons.
SECTION 7. The lease who shall have given the municipality the aforementioned donation shall pay the same rental without increase until December 31, 1970.
SECTION 8. Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with any of the provision of this ordinance is hereby repealed or amended.
SECTION 9. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
