ORDINANCE NO. 2


"AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 31, SERIES OF 1964, REQUIRING VERIFICATION OF ALL LARGE CATTLE AND LIVESTOCK EXPORTED FROM THIS MUNICIPALITY AND IMPOSING VERIFICATION FEES THEREFOR AND REQUIRING THE EXPORTER OF THE ANIMALS TO SUBMIT TO THE OFFICE OF THE MAYOR A WRITTEN CERTIFICATION FROM THE BUTCHER OF THE MUNICIPALITY THAT THE LOCAL SUPPLY OF SAID MEAT IN THE PUBLIC MARKET IS SUFFICIENT THEREBY AVERTING SHORTAGE AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"


	BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:


	SECTION 1. All large cattle and/or livestocks to be exported from this Municipality to other place must be submitted for verification purposes to Municipal Livestock Inspector of Pagadian and/or Provincial Veterinarian.

	SECTION 2. No exportation of large cattle and/or livestock from this Municipality to other place shall be allowed or permitted without first obtaining a permit from the Mayor and no permit for the same shall be issued without submitting to the Office of the Mayor a written certification from the local butchers that there is a sufficient local supply of said species of animals exported in the local public market.

	SECTION 3. Hereunder is the rate or schedule of verification fee or fees to be imposed per verification:

	KINDS OR SPECIES OF ANIMAL			FEE OR FEES/HEAD

	Large Cattle (For export out of the Province)		P10.00
	Large Cattle (For export within the Province)		5.00
	Hog, Goat or other of the bovine family
		a. procured or purchased from Pagadian		1.00
		b. procured or purchased from other
		    Municipality		0.50
	Monkey		0.10
	Chicken or other fowl		0.05

	SECTION 4. Any person or persons or exporter of livestock convicted by the Court for violation of any provision of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment of not less than ten (10) days nor more than six (6) months or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.

	SECTION 5.	Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance or any provision therein is hereby amended or repealed.

      SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect on January 1, 1965.
