ORDINANCE NO. 16
"AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL BUTCHERS OF THIS MUNICIPALITY TO SECURE MAYOR'S PERMIT FOR LIVESTOCK TO BE SLAUGHTERED AND SOLD FOR PUBLIC CONSUMPTION IN THE PUBLIC MARKET AND IMPOSING GRADUATED VERIFICATION FEES PER HEAD OF SUCH LIVESTOCK AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. All butchers of this Municipality must always secure the necessary Mayor's permit for livestocks to be butchered in the public slaughterhouse at Santa Lucia Public market and pay therefore the graduated verification fees as hereunder enumerated.
SECTION 2. The rate or schedule of verification fees to be imposed per head of livestock butchered is as follows:
PER HEAD
1. Large cattle P4.00
2. Hogs, goats or other bovine family:
a. less than 40 kg. 1.00
b. more than 40 kg. 2.00
SECTION 3. Any butcher or butchers, person or persons, convicted by the Court for violation of any provision of this Ordinance, shall pay a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment of not less than ten (10) days nor more than six (6) months, or both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
