ORDINANCE NO. 21
"AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL MEAT VENDORS TO PRESENT ALL UNSOLD MEAT FOR REFRIGERATION TO THE MEAT INSPECTOR TO BE WEIGHED AND TO BE MARKED BEFORE SUCH MEAT IS BROUGHT OUTSIDE FROM THE MARKET FOR REFRIGERATION PURPOSES AND TO PRESENT AGAIN THE FROZEN MEAT TO THE MEAT INSPECTOR FOR VERIFICATION PURPOSES BEOFRE ALLOWING THE SAME TO BE SOLD IN THE MARKET AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. All meat vendors shall submit or present all unsold meat for refrigeration to the meat inspector to be weighed and to be marked before such meat is brought outside from the market.
SECTION 2. All meat vendors shall submit or present all frozen meat for verification to the meat inspector so that the same meat could be marked as "FROZEN MEAT".
SECTION 3. Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance is hereby amended or repealed.
SECTION 4. Any meat vendor convicted by the Court for violation of Sections 1 and 2 of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Thirty (P30.00) Pesos nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment of not less than one (1) month nor more than six (6) months or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
