ORDINANCE NO. 13


"AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING WAITERS, WAITRESSES, FOOD HANDLERS, EMPLOYEES OF CABARETS, DANCE HALLS, NIGHT CLUBS, BARS, RESTAURANTS, AND OTHER EATERIES AND DRINKING PLACES, AND ALL DOCKHANDS AND LABORERS HANDLING CARGOES OF TRUCKS, LAUNCHES, BOATS, AND SHIPS, TO SECURE MEDICAL CERTIFICATE AND POLICE CLEARANCE FROM AUTHORITIES CONCERNED UPON PAYMENT OF THE CORRESPONDING FEES THEREFOR AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"

	BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:

	SECTION 1. All waiters, waitresses, food handlers, employees of cabarets, dance halls, night clubs, bars, restaurants, and other eateries and drinking places, and all dockhands and laborers handling cargoes of trucks, launches, boats, and ships shall secure medical certificate and police clearance from authorities concerned upon payment of the corresponding fees therefore.

	SECTION 2.	Medical certificate shall be issued by the Local Health Officer except when the applicant is suffering from contagious disease or veneral diseases which may endanger the health of the public. Police clearance shall be issued by the Chief of Police except when the applicant is of notorious character, pickpocket or has been convicted of crime against property.

	SECTION 3.	The medical certificate and police clearance herein required shall be renewed by the applicant every six (6) months from the date of last issue.

	SECTION 4.	Any person concern who shall fail to comply with the requirements under Section 1 and 3 hereof shall, upon conviction by the Court, be punished by an imprisonment of not less than fifteen (15) days nor more than one (1) month and a fine of not less than Fifteen (P15.00) Pesos nor more than Thirty (P30.00) Pesos in the discretion of the Court.

	SECTION 5.	Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance or any provision herein, is hereby amended or repealed.

	SECTION 5.	This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
