ORDINANCE NO. 18


"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING AND DECLARING ILLEGAL THE ACT OF BUYING VOTE DURING ELECTION AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"

      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:

	SECTION 1. It is unlawful and prohibited for any person to by votes during election time.

	SECTION 2.	It is unlawful and prohibited for any person to give rice, corn grits, clothing and/or other kinds or form or aid within the period of thirty days before the election day.

	SECTION 3.	Any person found violating the provisions of Section 1 hereof, shall upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos and by an imprisonment of not less than Two (2) months nor more than Six (6) months.

	SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
