ORDINANCE NO. 17
"AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RULES AND REGULATIONS ON HEALTH AND SANITATION AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. It shall be required of all owners of residences, commercial establishments, movie houses, municipal buildings, other public buildings, and other buildings where toilet is needed, to construct one or more toilets in their respective lots or premises.
SECTION 2. All toilets shall have a floor area of not less than One (1) square meter and no system or type of toilet shall be used except the septic tank or water sealed toilet.
SECTION 3. All provisions of Ordinance No. 105, series of 1948, not contrary to any provision of this Ordinance is enforceable.
SECTION 4. Any ordinance or provision thereof inconsistent with the provision of this Ordinance is hereby amended or repealed.
SECTION 5. Any owner or residences, commercial establishments, movie houses and other buildings where toilet is needed, found violating Sections 1 and 2 of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, pay a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or suffer an imprisonment of not less than One (1) month nor more than Six (6) months, or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court. In case the owner of the aforementioned building is a juridical person, such as corporation, and etc., the Board of Directors and the manager shall suffer the penalties imposed hereof.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.
