ORDINANCE NO. 16
"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING CHILDREN BELOW FOUR (4) YEARS OF AGE FROM BEING ADMITTED IN ANY THEATER, CINEMATOGRAPH OR SHOWHOUSE EXCEPT DURING A MATINEE SHOW FOR THAT PURPOSE"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. No theater, cinematograph or showhouse shall in any case be permitted to admit any child whose age is below four (4) years.
SECTION 2. Matinee and stage shows which are solely for the children irrespective of their ages may be permitted only upon first securing a permit from the Municipal Mayor and after paying to the Municipal Treasurer the sum of Five (P5.00) Pesos for every matinee show held. The payment for the stage show shall be governed by the Tariff Ordinance.
SECTION 3. The holding of a matinee show shall be restricted only during Sundays and legal holidays from the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
SECTION 4. Any person, firm or corporation operating such theater, cinematograph or showhouse found guilty of violating any provision of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or an imprisonment of not more than Two (2) months or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 5. Any ordinance or provision thereof in conflict with the provision of this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall effect immediately upon its approval.
