ORDINANCE NO. 22
"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DEPOSIT OR COMPOUNDING OF HOGS AND/OR OTHER LIVESTOCK FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES WITHIN THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICT OR AREA OF THE POBLACION OF PAGADIAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR; IMPOSING CORAL OR CORAL ESTABLISHMENT WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAGADIAN AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. It is strictly prohibited to deposit or compound hogs and/or other livestock either temporarily or permanently for the commercial purposes within the commercial district or area of the Poblacion of Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, i.e., within the following boundaries:
East Sikatuna Street
North Cabrera Street formerly Mapa Street
West Araullo Street
South The Sea
SECTION 2. Compound or place of deposit for hogs and/or other livestock should be established outside the commercial district or area mentioned in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. No compound or place of deposit for hogs or other livestock should be established within the Municipality of Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, without first paying the coral or compound fee prescribed in Section 4 hereof.
SECTION 4. For every compound or place of deposit for hogs and/or other livestock established within the Municipality of Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, a coral or compound fee of Forty (P40.00) Pesos per annum shall be paid in the Office of the Municipal Treasurer of Pagadian.
SECTION 5. The practice of bringing the hogs and/or other livestock somewhere else within the Municipality of Pagadian, Zamboanga del Sur, to evade the payment of fees and other necessary taxes therefore is strictly prohibited.
SECTION 6. PENALTIES - Any person or livestock dealer found violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, pay a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos and suffer an imprisonment of not less than One (1) month nor more than Six (6) months in the discretion of the Court.
SSECTION 7. REPEALING CLAUSE - Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with the provision of this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVITY - This Ordinance shall take effect on December 14, 1962.
