ORDINANCE NO. 14


"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING DRIVERS AND CONDUCTORS TO ACCEPT PASSENGERS MORE THAN THE ALLOWED CAPACITY OF THE VEHICLE AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF INCLUDING THE EXCESS PASSENGER OR PASSENGERS"

      BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:

	SECTION 1. No driver or conductor of any passenger vehicle shall accept passenger or passengers more than the allowed capacity of the vehicle.

	SECTION 2. No passenger shall insist on taking a ride on any passenger vehicle when same vehicle is already occupied to its allowed capacity.

	SECTION 3. Any conductor, driver, passenger,  convicted for violation of this Ordinance shall pay a fine of not less than Two (P2.00) Pesos nor more than Five (P5.00) Pesos separately or suffer an imprisonment of not less than two (2) days nor more than five (5) days.

	SECTION 3. Any ordinance or part thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance or part thereof is hereby repealed or modified.

	SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
