ORDINANCE NO. 11
"AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING LABORERS OR GROUP OF LABORERS, STEVEDOR OR STEVEDORES IN THE PAGADIAN WHARF TO HANDLE OR CARRY CARGOES PARTICULARLY SACK OF PALAY OR CORN OR PERSONAL BELONGINGS WITHOUT FIRST SECURING THE VERBAL OR WRITTEN CONSENT OF THE OWNER AS TO HOW MUCH SHALL BE PAID ITS HANDLING OF CARRIAGE AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any laborers, stevedore or stevedores, person or persons working in Pagadian Wharf to handle or carry cargoes, particularly sacks of corn or palay or personal belongings, without first securing verbal or written consent of the cargo owner and without first agreeing with the cargo owner as to how much shall be paid for the handling or carriage of said cargo.
SECTION 2. Any laborer, group of laborers, person or persons, stevedore or stevedores convicted for violation of any provision of this ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not less than Thirty (P30.00) Pesos nor more than Sixty (P60.00) Pesos or by an imprisonment of not less than One (1) month nor more than Five (5) months, or both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the Court.
SECTION 3. Any ordinance, whose provision is part or in full, contrary to and in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
