ORDINANCE NO. 26


"AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE DEPARTURE OF PASSENGER LAND TRANSPORTATIONS PROVIDING FOR PROPER PARKING PLACES AND PROHIBITING PARKING ELSEWHERE THAN THE DESIGNATED PARKING PLACES, PROHIBITING GOING AROUND OF PASSENGERS LAND TRANSPORTATION EXCEPT ON PERMISSION AND IMPOSING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF"

	BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN, THAT:

	SECTION 1. All passenger land transportation must park at the parking area near the police station at the National Highway thirty minutes before the scheduled departure time and shall not go around the town or anywhere else for the purpose of picking up passengers and/or cargoes.

      SECTION 2. Only passenger land transportation whose schedule time for departure is not longer than thirty minutes, shall park at the designated place for parking provided in Section 1 of this Ordinance.


      SECTION 3. All other passenger land vehicles whose time schedule for departure is longer than thirty minutes must park at their own garage or at the parking place or area near the municipal building and nowhere else.


      SECTION 4.	Only upon permission obtained from the guards by the driver, conductor or passenger concerned, may a passenger land vehicle be allowed to pick passenger or cargoes at designated places, provided that, the time shall not be between ten o'clock in the evening and 3:00 o'clock in the morning.


      SECTION 5.	Between 10:00 o'clock in the evening and 3:00 o'clock in the morning, going around of passenger land transportation is strictly and absolutely prohibited.


      SECTION 6.	 Any person convicted for violation of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than Twenty-Five (P25.00) Pesos nor less than Ten (P10.00) Pesos and suffer an imprisonment of not more than Ten (10) days nor less than Five (5) days.


      SECTION 7.	Any Ordinance or provision therein that may contradict this Ordinance or any of its provisions is hereby repealed.


      SECTION 8.	This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its approval.
