ORDINANCE NO. 2
AN ORDINANCE IMPOSING AND FIXING FEES ON CINEMATOGRAPH AND THEATERS AND PRESCRIBING PENALTIES THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT
Section 1. Purpose of Cinematograph and Theaters- Cinematograph and Theaters are hereby considered as public amusement places whereby owners or operators charge the public by admission.
Section 2. Mode of Levy- Cinematograph and Theaters within the poblacion shall be charged as follows:
a) Admission ticket 50@ or above ........................... P0.05
b) Admission ticket 49@ or above .......................... 0.25
Cinematograph and Theaters outside the Poblacion or in the Barrios:
a) Admission ticket 50@ or above ......................... P0.25
b) Admission ticket 49@ or above ......................... 0.15
Section 3. Time of Payment - All payment shall be made to the Municipal Treasurer or his authorized representative on/or before the Tenth (10th) day of the succeeding month.
Section 4. Authorized Checker - A representative of the Municipal Treasurer shall be assigned to the theater or cinematograph to check or ascertain the admission tickets sold during the showing.
Section 5. Penalties - Failure of any operator to comply with the provisions of this ordinance shall upon conviction be punished by a fine of not less than Ten (10P10.00) Pesos but not more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos or by an imprisonment of not less than Five (5) days, nor more than thirty (30) days or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
