ORDINANCE NO. 1
AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE DISTANCE OF A COCKPIT FROM ANY PUBLIC BUILDING, SCHOOL, HOSPITAL, AND CHURCHES, IMPOSING PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or group of persons to establish, maintain and/or operate a cockpit within the radius of five hundred (500) lineal meters from any public building, school, hospital, and church;
Section 2. Any person or group of persons found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction be punished by a fine of not less than Thirty (P30.00) Pesos, but not more than Sixty (P60.00) Pesos, or by imprisonment of not less than One (1) month, but not more than Two (2) months, or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court;
Section 3. That any ordinance whose provisions in part or in full contrary to and in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall be hereby repealed;
Section 4. That this ordinance, to be known as Ordinance No. 1, series of 1958 of this municipality, shall take effect upon its approval.
