ORDINANCE NO. 1
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING OWER OR OWNERS, COMPANY OR CORPORATION ENGAGED IN THE EXPORTATION OF LOGS, TO PROVIDE FOR THEMSELVES AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE, LOG POND NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THE LUMBIA-MURICAY RIVER IN THE AREA BETWEEN MURICAY AND SAN PEDRO DISTRICT, TO SECURE A WIRTTEN PERMIT FROM THE MUNICIPAL MAYOR OR HIS DULY AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE, AND TO PAY THE CORRESPONDING PERMIT FEE THEREFOR, AND IMPOSING PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT
Section 1. That owner or owners, company or corporation in this municipality, engaged in the exportation of logs shall be required to provided for themselves at their own expense log pond, the same to be constructed near the entrance of the Lumbia-Muricay river in the area between Muricay and San Pedro District.
Section 2. That it shall be unlawful for owner or owners, company or corporation in this municipality to construct a log pond without first securing a permit from the Municipal Mayor or his duly authorized representative, and to pay the corresponding license or permit fee therefore, in the amount of Six Hundred (P600.00) per annum.
Section 3. Any owner or owners, company or corporation in this municipality, found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos, but nor more than Two Hundred (P200.00) Pesos, or by imprisonment of not less than Ten (10) days but not more than One (1) month, or both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.
Section 4. Any ordinance or ordinances, whose provisions in part or in full, contrary to and in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, shall be hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance, to be known as Ordinance No. 1, shall take effect upon its approval.
