ORDINANCE NO. 187

















AN ORDINANCE  REQUIRING ALL KINDS OF VEHICLE UPON ENTERING THE POBLACION OF PAGADIAN FROM THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY, PASS EITHER SIKATUNA OR BONIFACIO STREETS, THEM TO BLUMENTRITT STREET, OIR BONIFACIO STREETS TO CEFERINO DE LEON STREET AND PROCEED TO DELIVER PASSENGERS TO THEIR RESPECTIVE RESIDENCES OR PLACES, THEN TO THE PARKING PLACE IN THE AREA ALONGSIDE THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY NORTH OF THE PUBLIC MARKET, AND IMPOSING PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.





BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT

      Section 1. That vehicle of all kinds upon entering the Poblacion of Pagadian from the National Highway, shall pass either Sikatuna or Bonifacio Streets, then to Blumentritt Street; or Bonifacio Street to Ceferino de Leon Street and proceed to deliver passengers to their respective residences or places, then to the area alongside the national highway north of the public market which is designated as the parking place in this ordinance.










      Section 2. That TPU trucks and/or passenger buses, AC Jeeps and PU cars making trips to Dumalinao and back to the Poblacion shall, upon arrival in the Poblacion, deliver the passenger to their respective residence or places, then to the parking place as mentioned and provided for in Section 1 of this ordinance.











	Section 3. It shall be unlawful for TPU trucks and passenger buses to go to the wharf to load or unload passengers or for any other purpose.


	Section 4. That the National Highway from Bonifacio Street to Mabini Street is hereby designated one-way traffic to all kinds of vehicles excluding Tartanillas with entrance at Mabini Street and exit at Bonifacio Street.


	Section 5. It shall be unlawful for vehicles to go around the poblacion limits to solicit passengers after unloading their respective passengers and parked in the designated marking place of this Ordinance.  HOWEVER, they can pick up cargoes with passengers upon request of the latter with permission from either the Chief of Police or from the traffic guard.

	Section 6. Any person, firm or corporation found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Twenty (P20.00) Pesos, nor more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos, or by imprisonment of not less than Ten (10) days, but not more than Thirty (30) days, or both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.












	Section 7. Any ordinance, whose provisions are contrary to, and in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance, shall be hereby repealed.

	Section 8. That this ordinance, to be known as Ordinance No. 187, shall take effect upon its approval.
