ORDINANCE NO. 168
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING UNAUTHORIZED MIDWIFE TO PRACTICE THE PROFESSION OF MIDWIFERY WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAGADIAN, AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
Section 1. That it shall be unlawful for any person unauthorized midwife or midwives to practice the profession of midwifery within the Municipality of Pagadian;
Section 2. That any person or persons found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Ten (P10.00) Pesos, nor more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos or by imprisonment of not less than Ten (10) days nor more than Thirty (30) days, or both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.
Section 3. Any Ordinance whose provisions or part thereof are in conflict with the provision of this Ordinance is hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
