ORDINANCE NO. 162

















AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A PORTION OF THE TOWN SITE OF PAGADIAN, TO BE KNOWN AS FIRE HAZARD ZONE, AND REQUIRING ALL LOT OWNERS THEREIN TO ROOF WITH GALVANIZED IRON AND WALL WITH  BOARD THEIR HOUSES, AND IMPOSING PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.





BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:









      Section 1. That there shall be a portion of the Pagadian Two Site to be designated as Fire Hazard Zone, and more particularly described and bounded as follows: One the North, from the intersection of the Araullo Street following the V. Mapa Street, on the East from the intersection of V. Mapa Street following the Sikatuna Street, following the Sea Side Boulevard, including the portion thereof following the Pagadian Causeway leading to the Pagadian Wharf; and on the West, from the intersection of the Seaside Boulevard following the Araullo Street.




      Section 2. That no person or persons shall be allowed to repair and construct house or houses within the designated Fire Hazard Zone without first securing the necessary permit from the Municipal Mayor or his duly authorized representative, thereby requiring the same to roof with galvanized iron and wall with board their house or houses;



	Section 3. That no construction of house or houses surrounding the market site shall be allowed except when such house or houses are constructed in the manner that the same has a height of not less than Ten (10) feet from the ground floor  to the cave, and roofed with galvanized iron and with board;

	Section 4. Any person or persons found violating the provisions of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not less than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos, nor more than One Hundred (P100.00) Pesos, or by imprisonment of not less than Twenty (20) Days, nor more than Three (3) months, or both fine and imprisonment, in the discretion of the court.

	Section 5. Any ordinance, whose provisions in part or in full, are contrary to, and in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall be hereby repealed.



	Section 6. This ordinance, to be known as Ordinance No. 162, be and is hereby approved.
