ORDINANCE NO. 159

















AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING TPU TRUCKS AND/OR PASSENGER BUSES FROM GOING AROUND THE STREETS OF THE POBLACION OF PAGADIAN SOLICITING PASSENGERS, AND REQUIRING TPU TRUCKS AND OR PASSENGER BUSES TO OBSERVE THEIR TIME SCHEDULE OF DEPARTURE AND IMPOSING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF.





BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:









      Section 1. It shall be unlawful for TPU trucks and/or passenger buses to go around the town to go around the town to solicit passengers;








      Section 2. Upon arrival and before departure, all TPU trucks and/or passenger buses are to park alongside the National Highway of the North side of the Public Market for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers and cargoes;



	Section 3. TPU trucks and/or passenger buses are required to follow the time schedule for departure from the parking place, (The time schedule prescribed by the Public Utility Commission).

	Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation found violating the provisions of this ordinance or part thereof, shall upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Twenty (P20.00) Pesos, nor more than Fifty (P50.00) Pesos, or by imprisonment of not less than Ten (10) days, nor more than Twenty Five (25) days, or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court;


	Section 5. Any ordinance whose provisions of part thereof are inconsistent with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed;

	Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
