ORDINANCE NO. 7
AN ORDINANCE FIXING A TAX FOR EVERY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION OPERATING "JACKPOT" IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAGADIAN, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. A tax of Seventy Pesos (P70.00) a year for every "JACKPOT" operated is hereby fixed for every person, firm or corporation operating in the Municipality of Pagadian, Province of Zamboanga.
SECTION 2. Before operating "JACKPOT", the operators mentioned in Section 1 hereof, shall apply for a permit for the Municipal Mayor and shall pay the corresponding license fee to the Municipal Treasurer.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation found violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Twenty Pesos (P20.00), nor more than Fifty Pesos (P50.00), or by imprisonment of not less than Ten (10) days, nor more than Twenty Five (25) days, or both, fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
