AN ORDINANCE FIXING A TAX FOR EVERY PERSON, FIRM OR CORPORATION OPERATING BAR IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAGADIAN, PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR.






BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:







      SECTION 1. A tax of Forty (P40.00) Pesos, a year is hereby fixed for every persons, firm or corporation who serves liquor or wine in his establishment which falls under the classification of a bar, operating in the Municipality of Pagadian, Province of Zamboanga del Sur.




      SECTION 2. Before operating the bar, the operators mentioned in section 1 hereof, shall apply for a permit from the Municipal Mayor and shall pay the corresponding license fee to the Municipal Treasurer.




	SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation found violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Twenty Pesos (P20.00), nor more than Fifty Pesos (P50.00), or by imprisonment of not less than Ten (10) days, nor more than Twenty Five (25) days, or both, fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.

	SECTION 4.  This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
