ORDINANCE NO. 10
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE INSPECTION OF RICE AND CORN SHIPPED FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAGADIAN AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. All rice (polished or unpolished) and all corn (milled or grain) to be shipped from the municipality of Pagadian shall be subject to inspection by the Municipal Treasurer or his duly authorized representative. Complete records of the rice and corn inspected and shipped from this municipality shall be kept in the Office of the Municipal Treasurer.
SECTION 2. The shipper of rice and corn shall pay the Municipal Treasurer as follows:
a) For every cavan of rice (polished) inspected ......... P0.10
b) For every cavan of rice (unpolished) inspected .... 0.05
c) For every cavan of corn (milled or grain) inspected 0.05
SECTION 3. When the outgoing rice or corn are intended for personal use, the same shall be exempted from payment of inspection fee, provided they shall not exceed:
a) Rice (polished) ...................................................... 2 cavans
b) Rice (unpolished) ................................................. 4 cavans
c) Corn (milled or grain) .......................................... 2 cavans
SECTION 4. Any person found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than Ten (P10.00) Pesos, nor more than Two Hundred Pesos (P200.00), or by imprisonment for not less than Five (5) days, nor more than Thirty Days (30), or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
