ORDINANCE NO. 121
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING ALL OWNERS OR TENANTS OF PERMANENT OF SEMI-PERMANENT HOUSES; CINEMATOGRAPHS; RICE AND CORN MILLS; FACTORIES; FURNITURE SHOPS; BEAUTY SHOPS; TAILORING SHOPS; VEHICLE REPAIR SHOPS; ELECTRIC PLANTS; LUMBER YARDS; BAKERIES; RESTAURANTS; CARENDERIAS; BAZAARS; AND STORE WITHIN THE POBLACIO (FROM THE WHARF TO ARELLANO STREET AND FROM GATAS CREEK TO LUMBIA SPRING), MUNICIPALITY OF PAGADIAN, TO PROVIDE WITH A FIRE EXTINGUISHER OF NOT LESS THAN 500 LBS. CAPACITY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. It shall be the duty of all owners or tenants of permanent or semi-permanent houses, cinematographs, rice and corn mills, factories, furniture shops, beauty shops, tailoring shops, vehicle repair, shops, electric plants, lumber yards, bakeries, restaurants, carenderias, bazaars, and stores within the Poblacion (from the wharf to Arellano Street and from Gatas Creek to Lumbia Spring), municipality of Pagadian to provide with a fire extinguisher in their own houses or establishments for their immediate use in case of conflagration.
SECTION 2. It shall also be the duty of the owners of the fire extinguisher to assist extinguish the fire from by the use of the apparatus to avoid the spread of the fire.
SECTION 3. Any person or persons found violating the provisions of this ordinance, or portion hereof, shall upon conviction, pay a fine of not less than Twenty Pesos (P20.00), nor more than One Hundred Pesos (P100.00), or suffer imprisonment for not less than Ten (10) days, nor more than Thirty (30) days, or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
