ORDINANCE NO. 114
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE TRAFFIC OF ALL VEHICLES AND THE BLOWING OF HORN WITHIN THE POBLACION LIMITS, PAGADIAN, ZAMBOANGA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. The National Highway (within the limits of the Poblacion) and the Mabini Street, shall have two way traffic flow, the Blumentritt and the Bonifacio Street, shall have one-way traffic flow only from the Mabini Street to the National Highway.
SECTION 2. All vehicles shall always take the right side of the street at a speed of not more than Five (5) miles per hour.
SECTION 3. Traffic signals sufficiently big for every vehicles operator to see at a distance shall be placed in the following places:
a. At the intersection of Bonifacio Street and the National Highway;
b. At the intersection of Mabini and Blumentritt Streets.
c. At the intersection of National Highway and Mabini Street.
d. At the market site between the artesian well and Mabini Street
SECTION 4. The long blowing of horn is a public nuisance and is hereby prohibited. Only one short, followed by short blows shall be allowed.
SECTION 5. No vehicles are allowed to park on either side of the Municipal Street and the National Highway (within the Poblacion), rock causeway and pier. However, reasonable time is limited for all vehicles to load and unload cargoes and passengers on the place mentioned in this section.
SECTION 6. Any person found violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, pay a fine of not less than Five Pesos (P5.00), nor more than Twenty Five Pesos (P25.00), or suffer imprisonment for not less than Five (5) Days, nor more than Twenty Five (25) Days, or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
SECTION 7. Any ordinance or part of an ordinance which may be in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall be hereby repealed.
SECTION 8. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
