ORDINANCE NO. 110
AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING EVERY LARGE CATTLE OWNERS IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAGADIAN TO HAVE A PRIVATE BRAND OF HIS WON DULY REGISTERED IN THE OFFICE OF THE MUNICIPAL TREASURER BEFORE APPLYING IT TO HIS ANIMAL AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT:
SECTION 1. Every large cattle owner residing in the municipality of Pagadian is hereby required to have a private brand of his own, duly registered in the office of the Municipal Treasurer before applying it to his animal or animals.
SECTION 2. For every private brand registered in the office of the Municipal Treasurer a fee of One Peso (P1.00) shall be paid by the owner of the brand.
SECTION 3. For purposes of locating and identifying ownership of branded animal or animals, the name of the registrant and his address shall be stated in the registry book, together with the sketch.
SECTION 4. For precautionary measure, the Municipal Treasurer or his duly authorized representative shall ascertain the true ownership of any large cattle before branding it. The Municipal Treasurer may promulgate rules or regulations this matter.
SECTION 5. It shall be the duty of the large cattle owner to have his cattle from the age of 2 years at least, branded and registered in the office of the Municipal Treasurer.
SECTION 6. The Municipal Brand shall be placed on the left side and the owner's brand on the right side of the animal. The application of both brands on the animal shall be deep enough to render them clearly visible for a relatively long period of time.
SECTION 7. Any person or persons found violating any provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction, pay a fine of not less than Five Pesos (P5.00), nor more than Ten (P10.00), or suffer imprisonment for not less than Five (5) days, nor more than Ten (10) days, or both fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
SECTION 8. Any ordinance or part of an ordinance which may be in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance shall be hereby repealed.
SECTION 9. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
