Republic of the Philippines PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR P A G A D I A N ORDINANCE NO. 103 AN ORDINANCE ON CINEMATOGRAPHS, THEATERS AND OTHER PLACES OF DIVERSIONS IN THE JURISDICTION OF THIS MUNICIPALITY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF PAGADIAN THAT: SECTION 1. No permit for cinematographs, theaters or similar place of amusement, shall be issued without proper certificate of the District Engineer certifying that the building is suitable and safe for the purpose as mentioned, and the written certificate of the local health officer regarding the sanitary conditions of the said building; SECTION 2. Any building which shall be used as cinematograph, theater or similar place of amusement shall be provided with concrete pavement with declination and drainage to facilitate the cleaning and disinfection of the facilities, with walls of concrete, wood or galvanized iron, and sufficient windows for proper ventilation; SECTION 3. The balcony, orchestra and general admission floors shall each be provided with toilets, one for men and one for women, and six electric fans of not less than 16 inches in diameter; SECTION 4. The building used as cinematograph, theater, or similar place of amusement shall be used as such only and not as cockpit for other purposes; SECTION 5. It shall be the duty of the owner of the cinematograph, theater, or similar places of amusement to clean the seats, pavement and toilets once a day and disinfect or cause to disinfect the same every week; SECTION 6. Any owner or manager of any cinematograph, theater or similar place of amusement violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished with a fine of not exceeding TWO HUNDRED (P200.00) PESOS or imprisonment of not more than SIX months, or both, at the discretion of the court. SECTION 7. Any ordinance or ordinances in conflict with the provisions hereof are hereby repealed. SECTION 8. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
